Vitiligo on Hands, Knees, Feet
- Can I use aloe vera to cure vitiligo?
Greetings from Cyprus . Since I was 8 years old, I had white spots on my skin that I did not know what it was. After several visits to doctors learned that it is vitiligo. I found a doctor from Lebanon, he gave me some herbal that helped very much. Gradually I stopped completely the herbal treatment and began a treatment at a hospital that lasted four years without result. Now I'm 21 yrs old and I don't know what to do, my whole body is full again, please help.
Hi Kostas, thank you for your trust. Vitiligo is not a serious disease, in the sense that your life is not in danger, but nevertheless its symptoms are inelegant, especially for a young man.
Kostas , I'm not a doctor and my opinion is based on experience and bibliography. My "empirical instinct" indicates me that vitiligo besides as a body disease, it is also a stuck in the mind. That is, since vitiligo is not the first issue in the priorities of my thoughts, somehow it will lessened. Of course this is not absolute, but I have noticed it myself.
Yes, I had vitiligo spots in hands too. Eventually I decided I could live without thinking at all about it. Well, I couldn't believe my eyes when after one to two months one day came to my mind the problem with vitiligo and looked at my hands to see the white spots, but there were no spots!
For sure, every day I use liquid soap with aloe, I apply aloe vera gel on the spots and patches, and drink aloe vera juice, and I've found that as I continue using them, the signs of vitiligo shrink and become almost invisible to me and probably completely invisible to those who don't see me every day.
What is Vitiligo?
Vitiligo is a relatively rare degenerative disease of the skin, also known as leucoderma, where melanocytes which produce melanin and are responsible for the color of the skin are degraded and destroyed, and thus certain parts of the skin lose pigmentation.
Where Vitiligo Appears and How Manifested?
The areas where vitiligo appears are those where there is no production of melanin, and it manifested with discoloration in different parts of the body, which become white. These areas are scattered in the body and are found on the face, eyelids, nose, neck, arms, underarms, elbows, in the groin, genitals, feet, knees, in areas that have suffered injury and elsewhere.
Causes of Vitiligo
Vitiligo is one of the diseases whose exact causes are not identified. However, the most likely cause is a dysfunction of homeostasis.
What is Homeostasis?
Homeostasis is a complex function of our organism. Institutions -
receptors track various values of the body (such as the body temperature, the acidity of the blood glucose, concentration and salts in the blood, the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide in tissues), transmit signals to the brain, then the brain if necessary, gives instructions for the proper setting of these values.
These mechanisms that the brain uses to regulate the values are called homeostatic mechanisms, are very complex and require perfect coordination to operate properly. Any detuning leads to system dysfunction.
Disorder of the immune system
Such a dysfunction brings disorder on the immune system, i.e. the internal defense mechanism of our body. The disordered immune system mistakenly recognizes as dangerous the cells that produce melanin, and produces antibodies against them. These antibodies neutralize and destroy melanocytes and thus caused the white spots and patches of vitiligo.
Vitiligo can sometimes be hereditary. Also anxiety, stress, tired nervous system, many toxins in digestive system - liver - kidney, are some other possible causes.
For vitiligo there is not yet reliable pharmacotherapy. Nevertheless, if the overall situation of our organism is from good to excellent, there are less possibilities to suffer and perhaps more possibilities to be healed, if we suffer from vitiligo. Besides, all sicknesses are messages that we have some deficiencies in essential nutrients, and/or that our body is full of toxins.
Detoxification - Diet
Aloe Vera Gelly
Body detoxification, internal organs purification, healthy diet, eating fruits, vegetables, nuts, and the least possible consumption of alcohol, coffee, tea, sugar, foods in cans and soft drinks in aluminum cans, will cleanse our body from toxins, relieve it from dealing with harmful substances and will allow it to function normally, coordinate homeostatic mechanisms, restoring glitches.
Aloe Vera for Vitiligo
Here is where Aloe Vera "plays at home field without rival"! The natural ingredients of aloe rich in nutrients, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, lipids, phospholipids and fatty acids (a mixture of which is believed to trigger the reproduction of melanocytes and enhances melanin synthesis), and the skin cell regeneration capacity that aloe vera has (thanks to an enzyme containing the bradykinin, which stimulates the reproduction of new cells), make it perhaps the only natural treatment of vitiligo.
How to Use Aloe Vera for Vitiligo
- Every morning, wash your face with Aloe Liquid Soap.
- After apply Aloe Vera Gelly on the areas needed and around them, and let it remain on the skin to be absorbed. Apply once more before go to bed and once in noon time if convenient.
- Also drinking 50 ml Aloe Vera Gel drink, two to three servings a day on an empty stomach is necessary.
Results will be visible after a reasonable period of daily and regular use. The patches and spots of vitiligo will not stand longer and as we continue to use aloe vera and is very likely to disappear completely.
Joy and Health,
